How do you think about screen time and technology?

I know this is ever-evolving but I'm curious how different households manage screen time and technology.

Up until recently, my 2yo hasn't been interested in TV so the rule for my 4yo was that she could only watch TV while we're in long car rides, and the TV had to be dubbed in Traditional Chinese for language acquisition purposes.

Now that she's older, we're starting to introduce educational apps like Khan Academy Kids but I can't discern what amount of time feels appropriate on something like that.

Separately, the 4yo has great command of our google home devices and I find it super annoying lol
